Beijing posts 23.5 pct growth in revenue income for 2005

Beijing's revenue income grew by 23.5 percent year-on-year to reach 91.92 billion yuan (11.4 billion U.S. dollars) in 2005, according to the latest report issued by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.

The expenditure reported 105.09 billion yuan (13.04 billion U.S. dollars) in Beijing last year, rising by 17 percent over 2004, according to the report on Beijing's economic and social development in the 2001-2005 period.

The revenue income of Beijing amounted to 324.44 billion yuan (40.25 billion U.S. dollars) in the 2001-2005 period, with a yearly growth rate of 25.3 percent on average, statistics show,

While the expenditure in the past five years reported a total of 387.15 billion yuan (48.03 billion U.S. dollars) in Beijing, with a yearly growth rate of 18.4 percent.
