Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality reported 4.293 billion U.S. dollars of foreign trade in 2005, up 11.3 percent year-on-year, the local statistics bureau said.
The figures involved 2.52 billion U.S. dollars of exports and 1.773 billion U.S. dollars of imports, said the latest report on the city's social and economic growth.
In 2005, the city's actual utilization of overseas investment totaled 704 million U.S. dollars, up 3.2 percent year-on-year.
Foreign direct investment totaled 516 million U.S. dollars, up 27.3 percent over the previous year.
