Ben Bernanke(R), new chairman of the Governor Board of the U.S. Federal Reserve System, is sworn in during a ceremony hosted by Vice Chairman Roger W. Ferguson in Washington Feb. 2, 2006. Bernanke became the 14th U.S. Fed chairman on Wednesday, succeeding Alan Greenspan.
