Nine injured in Egypt bus crash back to Hong Kong
font size

Nine injured members of a Hong Kong travel delegation that suffered a road accident in Egypt returned to Hong Kong Saturday afternoon.

The government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) said it would assist the injured in their treatment, properly take care of the dead as well as help their families to pass the difficulty.

Now there are still nine people with serious injuries remaining in hospital in Paris, Zurich and Cairo. They are expected to return to Hong Kong by Feb. 7.

The remains of the dead will also be delivered back after relevant documents are finished.

Fourteen people from a 43-member tour were killed when their bus crashed off a road and flipped on to its roof shortly after leaving the Red Sea resort of Hurghada on Jan. 31.
