Visiting the temple fair was traditional for Beijing residents. On the first day of the holiday, 45,000 people visited the Lama temple in Beijing, an all-time high. The World's Park attracted five time more visitors than the previous year, thanks to its Asian folk culture parade.
People from various parts of China came to Beijing for the temple fair events. On the third day of the holiday, some 700,000 visitors gathered for several fairs.
In Nanjing, the famous Conficious Temple Fair celebrated its 20th birthday this year. A Shanghai resident Li Meng said she enjoyed the folk arts such as paper cutting, colorful lanterns and sugar figures.
