6 bln MOP$ invested in Macao International Airport extension

Macao SAR government will invest some six billion MOP$ to extend Macao International Airport so as to meet the urgent demand of future development.

Official with Macao International Airport noted that the extension project is in consideration for the takeoff and landing of Airbus A380 airplanes. After the extension and renovation, the passenger handling capacity of the airport is expected to reach 25 million person-times annually.
