Indian government donates 2,000 tons of rice to DPRK

A total of 2,000 tons of rice donated by the Indian government on Tuesday arrived at Nampho Port in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Jo Si Bong, vice-minister of Food Procurement and Administration and N. T. Khankhup, Indian ambassador to the DPRK attended a ceremony at the port, according to the official Korean Central News Agency.

The Indian government has donated to the DPRK various kinds of humanitarian aid materials including food and medicine on nine occasions since 1995, the news service said.
