Pan Peal River Delta's foreign trade expands
font size

China's Pan Pearl River Delta made historic exports of 514.28 billion US dollars in 2005, soaring by 18.6 percent over the previous year.

The region contributed to 36.2 percent of the national total exports in 2005.

The region also managed to add more value to its exports in the processing trade. Traders were more diversified than ever. Foreign-funded businesses were still the pillar of the foreign trade in the area.

Hong Kong continued to play an important role as the transit through which the Pan Pearl River Delta expanded its foreign trade.

Guangdong's foreign trade still leads the nation, followed by Fujian Province.
