China's high-tech products trade jumped 32.4 percent to 34.52 billion U.S. dollars in January 2006, statistics from the Ministry of Commerce showed.
Meanwhile China's export of high-tech products rose 33.4 percent to 17.61 billion dollars, and import of similar goods reached 16.91 billion dollars, up 31.4 percent, the ministry said.
In January, China exported cell phones and cell phone parts worth 2.9 billion U.S. dollars, jumping 68.3 percent and accounting for 16.5 percent of the total export volume of high-tech products.
In January, China exported integrated circuit products worth 1.29 billion dollars, up 43 percent year on year.
During the month, China exported 96.93 million computer products and components worth 5.77 billion dollars, up 8.9 percent over last month and 16 percent year on year.
Insiders expect China's trade volume of high-tech products to reach 500 billion U.S. dollars in 2006.
