font size

At least 400 enterprises and organizations will attend the 10th Cross-Taiwan Straits Machinery and Electronics Commodity Fair scheduled for early April.

These enterprises and organizations, including 12 industrial and commercial associations from Taiwan, have booked some 1,400 business booths at the fair. It will take place between April 8-11 in Xiamen, a coastal city in East China's Fujian Province, organizers said.

The organizer said they will offer exhibitors 1,500 booths, and the exhibition halls will have total floor space of 33,000 sq m this year.

A range of activities will be organized during the fair, including a job market reserved for qualified talents and university graduates from Taiwan.

Currently, about 7,000 Taiwan students are studying at university campuses across the Chinese mainland and some 1,500 graduate each year.

The Cross-Taiwan Straits Machinery and Electronics Commodity Fair, an annual event with the approval from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, was first held in 1997.
