font size

Macao's Commission against Corruption (CAC) has transferred 11 customs officers to the Public Prosecution for their involvement in a corruption case, Macao Post Daily reported Monday.

Macao Post Daily quoted CAC sources as saying that the suspects allegedly "demanded" bribes from an air cargo company for the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration.

Ten of the suspects were caught red handed with "the red envelopes" each containing 500 patacas (62.5 U.S. dollars), the newspaper said.

Two employees with the air cargo company were also suspected of involving in the case.
