Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said that the gate of Zhongnanhai is opened to the masses of people when he chaired the forums to solicit opinions on the government work report and the draft on the 11th five-year plan for national economic and social development on Feb. 6-10.

Members of non-Communist Parties, experts from social economic organizations as well as those from the circles such as science and technology, education, health, culture and sports were invited to the meetings and asked to air their views on the government work report and the 11th five-year plan.

On the morning of Feb. 7, Premier Wen held the third round meeting together with representatives of entrepreneurs, workers and farmers.

Among the ten representatives invited at the meeting, apart from renowned entrepreneurs like Wei Jiafu and Zhang Ruimin, three are from the grass roots.

Wang Jinde, a trade union chairman, raised his suggestions that government should further regulate the restructuring of state-owned enterprises and transference of property rights to prevent the loss of state-owned assets and protect workers' rights and interests.

Worker representative Liu Yiming offered his suggestion on setting up more occupational schools to cultivate workers' creativity and improve their education.

Farmer representative Feng Zhihua advised to well protect farmland, deal with unused land and guide farmers to build residence according to plan in order to cut cost.

"It is the first time for me to hold a meeting with Premier Wen at Zhangnanhai. I feel Premier Wen's deep love for farmers," said Feng Zhihua. Feng promised firmly that he will continue to lead his villagers to build a new countryside.

Wen highly valued the opinions from the three grassroots representatives and hoped they could offer more suggestions in the future.

Members of non-Communist Parties, experts from social economic organizations as well as those from the circles such as science and technology, education, health, culture and sports were invited to the meetings and asked to air their views on the government work report and the 11th five-year plan.
