271 Chinese seized for pretending to be policemen last year

The supervision departments of China's public security organs have captured 271 people who pretended to be policemen and cheated others last year.

The Ministry of Public Security announced on Tuesday that 11,000 Chinese were found wearing police uniform illegally last year.

In addition, the supervision departments of the public security organs across the country investigated and dealt with 201 cases involving illegal production and sale of articles for police service.

So far, a total of 2,808 supervision departments have been set up in the public security organs across China with nearly 9,000 supervisors in service.
