font size

By the end of 2005, China's installed generation capacity reached 500 million kw and yearly electricity generation hit 2.4 trillion kwh, making China the world second largest power generator, which has effectively alleviated energy shortage, according to Ministry of Commerce.

In addition, machinery and electronics product exports remain the largest category among China's major items for exports for 12 years in a row, accounting for 8.5% of the world total, following Germany, America and Japan.
