Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe said in Xi��an Wednesday that Togo is ready to enhance cooperation in agriculture with northwest China's Shaanxi province.

Faure arrived in Xi'an, the capital city of Shaanxi province, Tuesday afternoon, continuing his visit to China.

Vice governor of Shaanxi province Zhao Zhengyong met with President Faure, voicing his hope that the cooperation between Shaanxi Province and Togo would be conducive to further promoting the friendly relations between the peoples of both countries.

Faure, who arrived in Beijing Sunday afternoon for a week-long state visit to China at the invitation of President Hu Jintao, will visit the country's economic powerhouse Shanghai in east China as of Thursday.
