Three Chinese engineers and a Pakistani driver were killed in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan on Wednesday, according to Chinese consulate officials.
The Chinese consulate in Karachi confirmed that the three Chinese killed were from a cement making company in Hefei of east China's Anhui Province.
There were six Chinese and one Pakistani driver in the car when the incident occurred in the town of Hub, some 700 km southeast of Quetta, the Balochistan provincial capital, according to the consulate.
A gunman with a rifle stopped their car and opened fire. The other three Chinese survived with no injury, the consulate said.
