USS Blue Ridge makes port call in HK

The flagship of the United States Seventh Fleet, USS Blue Ridge, arrived in Hong Kong Thursday for a four-day port call.

Jeffrey S. Bartkoski told reporters that, being an ambassador of the U.S. navy, sailors and officers of the Blue Ridge were looking forward to the exchange with their military counterpart and the interact with local communities.

He said that Blue Ridge has visited many famous ports of Asia, and Hong Kong is one of the most favorites of his crew.

The 1,000 sailors aboard will go shopping and sight seeing during their stay.
