LG's int'l standard showroom opens in Kathmandu

Chaudhary Group (CG), the authorized distributor of LG products in Nepal for the last 18 years, opened an exclusive showroom of LG consumer goods and home appliances in Kathmandu on Friday.

President of South West Asia LG Electronics K R Kim formally inaugurated the international standard LG Lifestyle Shoppe.

Addressing the function organized in the premises of the showroom, Kim said that the exclusive Shoppe showcases all products of LG Electronics, ranging from color television, plasma TV and home theater to refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, mobile sets, air conditioner, audio system and vacuum cleaner, among others.

The showroom, spread over three floors and 7,500 square feet, also conducts training classes to acquaint housewives and other users with the features of ultramodern LG appliances such as microwave oven and washing machines, Kim informed.

"Besides providing zero percent hire purchase financing facility on purchase of LG goods, we also render reliable and excellent after sales service, such as home to home service. And people can always step in to witness live demonstration on usage of each and every product," he said.

LG Electronics, which generates an annual turnover of 30 billion U.S. dollars, has 76 offices in 50 different countries and is one of the leading manufacturers of consumer electronics, home appliances, IT and GSM products, Kim said, adding "LG would continue to provide premium products at competitive price range."

CG aims to generate a turnover of 1 billion Nepali rupees (14. 28 million U.S. dollars) through sales of LG products in Nepal.
