HK starts donation for victims of Philippines' landslide

A charity group in Hong Kong Sunday started collecting donation for victims of the Philippine's landslide, allocating the first batch of relief fund.

World Vision Hong Kong, a Christian charity organization, Sunday donated a sum of 390,000 HK dollars (about 50,000 US dollars) to relief works for the massive landslide in the Philippines.

The Hong Kong charity organization Sunday also opened accounts in two banks to receive donations from civilians, reported the RTHK radio station.

More than 1,500 people have been reported missing and 47 people confirmed dead since the landslide occurred on Friday.
