China's IT service market expected to grow 20 pct annually for five years

China's IT service market is expected to grow at an annual rate of 20.6 percent between 2006 and 2010, the China Economic Times reported Sunday.

The paper quoted a report of the China Center of Information Industry Development (CCID) as saying that in 2005 China's IT service market volume hit 82.27 billion yuan (about 10.2 billion U.S. dollars), up 20.1 percent year on year, according to CCID statistics.

The network services, special IT services and supporting, maintenance services in China grew 21.4 percent, 19.8 percent and 18.5 percent year on year respectively in 2005, the CCID said.

In 2005 about 19.897 million PCs were sold in Chinese market, with sales volume totaling 121.09 billion yuan, up 18.8 percent and 8.7 percent year on year, according to CCID figures.
