font size

All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) has announced its plan to give regular news releasing to media from home and abroad.

The decision means the ACFTU, a non-government organization with 150 million members, will institutionalize its news releasing.

The ACFTU spokesman will give news release around the 10th day of each month on important informations including major policies, activities and meetings of the ACFTU as well as issues of the public concern.

According to the Information Office of the State Council, nearly 70 government departments and 27 provinces, regions and municipalities had set up regular news releasing system by the end of 2005.

News releasing has become a significant and practical way in enhancing work and policy transparency in various departmets and organization, the ACFTU source said.
