Two bomb blasts kill eight Iraqis in FallujahEight people, including six Iraqi soldiers, were killed Saturday in two bomb attacks targeting Iraqi army and U.S. military patrols around the restive city of Fallujah, witnesses said. A roadside bomb went off in the afternoon near an Iraqi army patrol at the southern entrance of Fallujah, some 50 kilometers west of Baghdad, destroying a vehicle and killing six soldiers aboard, according to witnesses. In another blast, a roadside bomb was detonated in the Falahat area in western Fallujah, when a U.S. military patrol was passing by, damaging a U.S. Humvee, local residents said. Two civilian passers-by were killed in the attack, they said. Medical source in Fallujah Hospital confirmed to Xinhua they received two bodies of civilians killed in the Falahat attack.
