The Vodafone Group, the world largest mobile communication operator, signed an agreement on strategic cooperation lately in Barcelona, Spain with China's Shenzhen-based Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd..

According to the agreement, in coming five years at least, Huawai will provide tailored 3G mobile phones to Vodafone, which means the home-made handsets will be on the markets of 21 Europeans and American markets where Vodafone is operational.

It is learned that mobiles produced by Huawei will carry the Vodafone brand, being the first time that China-made handset terminals enter mainstream European markets in a large scale. The first Huawei product under Vodafone brand will be launched on market in September this year, Vodafone predicted.
