Brokeback Mountain takes four BAFTA awards
Director Ang Lee is awarded THE DAVID LEAN AWARD for Achievement in Direction at the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards at the Leicester Square in central London, Feb. 19, 2006. Brokeback Mountain directed by Lee was bestowed four BAFTA awards and turned into the biggest winner of Sunday night. The BAFTA is regarded as a prelude to the Oscars in the United States in early March.

Relief operations continue in the Philippines
