Trinidad and Tobago adheres to one-China policy: PMPrime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Patrick Manning said Monday his country will continue to unswervingly adhere to the one-China policy and looks forward to closer relations between his country and China. During his meeting with Ma Wenpu, deputy head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Manning also praised China's rapid economic development and growing influence on international affairs, said reports from Port of Spain, capital of Trinidad and Tobago. Manning, also leader of the ruling People's National Movement (PNM), said his government is willing to deepen cooperation with China in fields such as economics and trade and that Chinese companies are welcomed to invest in the country. In his turn, Ma said the CPC and the Chinese government always attach great importance to friendly relations of cooperation with Trinidad and Tobago and are willing to make concerted efforts with it to enhance such ties to a higher level.
