Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held a phone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Tzipi Livni on Wednesday.

A press release from the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Li and Livni exchanged views on bilateral ties and relevant regional issues.

Li reiterated that China is willing to play a constructive role in the Middle East peace process.
