Chinese premier meets Japanese minister

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with visiting Japanese Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Toshihiro Nikai on Wednesday.

The two sides exchanged views on bilateral ties and other issues of common concern.

Nikai is in Beijing at the invitation of Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai.

During his stay in Beijing, Nikai exchanged views with Bo on economic and trade issues and met with Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan to discuss bilateral relations and the East China Sea issue.
