2006 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) will be held on April 21-23 in Boao, Hainan Province, announced the BFA at a press conference held on Wednesday in Beijing. The topic for the annual conference will be "New Opportunities of Asia: Driving Growth to the Next Level".

2006 is the fifth annual conference of BFA, said Long Yongtu, secretary general of the forum. Reviewing the past five years, it has developed into one of the briskest international economic forums in Asia, even in the world, with its innovative and specifically-designed topics, pragmatic discussions, broad corporate representation and in-depth media participation. It plays an increasingly outstanding role in Asian regional cooperation.
