Originally planned to unveil its Acura RL in spring, Honda China has decided to put off the launch of the brand till summer, said sources with Honda China.
According to sources with Honda China, the company had originally planned to unveil Acura RL in spring, then Acura TL in summer, but it has to postpone the launch of RL for one quarter as some adjustments are being made in order to cater to Chinese market. It will take longer time than expected.
Insiders say Honda meets some difficulty in sales network because no RL stores are available till spring when RL is going to be launched.��
Honda China said that it is difficult to promote a new brand in China, but the company has not change its original annual plan, which aims to sell 3,000 units in 10 stores. First batch of RL stores in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou are in final preparation.
