Liu Qi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Thursday in Beijing with a delegation of the African Party for Democracy and Socialism from Senegal.

Liu is also secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.

The delegation is led by the party's Secretary General Landing Savane, who is also a senior minister of the presidential cabinet of Senegal.

The delegation arrived here Monday for a good-will visit to China at the invitation of the CPC.
