    Oldest shoe discovered in Canada

    The photo from Yukon Government shows a shoe made of deerskin found in the glacier region in Canada in 2003. It is reported that researchers first took the 1,400-year old shoe as a hunter's bag, but after cleaning they recognized it was a shoe. It is believed to be the oldest shoe discovered in Canada so far.

    Zhejiang's first transsexual becomes mother

    Lei Xiaochen, the first transsexual in east China's Zhejiang Province, has fulfilled her dream to be a mother by adopting a lovely girl from Lin'an Social Welfare Institution. Lei Xiaochen underwent gender reassignment surgery on June 15, 2004 in Shanghai. She married Yang Siyou, a native of Jiangxi Province on April 28, 2005.
