A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Thursday urged Japanese business circle to make active efforts in maintaining Sino-Japanese friendly cooperation.
"The predicament of political relations between China and Japan has produced negative influence in many aspects," Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said in a meeting with Japan's Economic, Trade and Industry Minister Toshihiro Nikai.
Wang expects Japanese business leaders to play an important role in bringing the China-Japan relations on a track of healthy and stable development.
Wang also briefed Nikai on the first meeting between the Chinese and Japanese governing parties, which concluded here on Wednesday.
Nikai said that Japan values the views of the Chinese side.
As minister in charge of Japan's economy and trade, Nikai committed to advancing economic cooperation and creating a win-win situation.
During his three-day stay in Beijing, Nikai also met with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan and Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai.
