Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with visiting Micronesian Foreign Minister Sebastian Anefal Friday in Beijing.

Tang said China will further develop its friendly and cooperative relations with Micronesia and other Pacific island countries abiding by the principles of mutual respect and mutual benefit, highlighting that China regards Micronesia as a trustworthy friend and partner.

China is willing to join in hands with Micronesia to consolidate and promote Sino-Micronesian relations, Tang vowed.

Anefal reaffirmed Micronesia's firm implementation of its one-China policy on the long run and worked wholeheartedly to expand the friendship and cooperation with China in bilateral and multilateral spheres.
