Chinese Red Cross donates US$50,000 to rescue in the Philippines

Red Cross Society of China Thursday donated 50,000 U.S. dollars to the ongoing rescue work in the Philippines after the country was hit by a severe landslide recently.

After the Philippines was hit by a landslide on Feb. 18, Red Cross Society of China sent a message of condolence to its Philippine counterpart over the heavy casualties and property loss.

30,000 U.S. dollars of the donation will be used by International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in its rescue work as a response to the federation's call.
