Chinese NPC vice chairman meets defense minister of East Timor

Xu Jialu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met the Defense Minister of East Timor Roque Rodrigues in Beijing on Friday.

Xu said China and East Timor enjoy profound friendship. The Chinese government values the friendly relationship with East Timor and is willing to expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

Rodrigues agreed with Xu's comments on bilateral ties. He said East Timor hopes to continue to develop the friendly relations with China on the basis of mutual benefit and mutual trust.
