South Korea's Jin Sun-yu claimed her second gold medal at the Turin Winter Olympics here on Saturday when she won the women's short-track speed skating 1,000 meters.

Jin, who had won the 1,500m title, finished in one minute 32. 859 seconds.

China's Wang Meng, winner of the 500m event, won the silver in 1:33.079, with compatriot Yang Yang (A), also the defending Olympic champion in the event, took the bronze in 1:33.937.

The final was a China vs South Korea affair as each team has two representatives in the nine-lap race. Wang led through the early stages of the final, but Jin overtook Wang on the penultimate turn and held on till crossing the finish line.
