Nepal will organize "Social Organizations Development Exhibition" on Feb. 28 and March 1, for the first time of its kind in the country, organizer said Sunday.
"A total of 103 organizations are taking part in the exhibition organized by the Social Welfare Council (SWC), a government institute," SWC said in a press statement.
Among the participating organizations, 81 are from within the country and 22 are international non-governmental organizations, the statement added.
The exhibition aims to bring together the activities and the products related to social welfare and development operated in Nepal by the different national and international social organizations at one place.
"The exhibition would facilitate the exchange of experiences, cooperation and coordination amongst the participating organizations," the statement said.
The proceeds from the exhibition would be used in the service of the destitute and helpless persons and in increasing the fund of Welfare Fund of SWC, the statement added.
