Canada's Hughes wins women's 5,000m speedskating Olympic gold

Clara Hughes of Canada won the women 's 5,000m speedskating gold medal at the Turin Winter Olympics on Saturday.

Hughes clocked in a winning time six minutes and 59.07 seconds, beating Germany's Claudia Pechstein to second in 7:00.08. Canada's Cindy Klassen got the bronze in 7:00.57.
