CPC officials must report on work performance twice in terms
font size

Officials with the Communist Party of China (CPC) must prepare two work-performance evaluations during their terms, according to a new regulation issued by the CPC Central Committee on Sunday.

CPC officials at the departments and organs above the county-level must report on their work performance in the middle of their terms and a year prior to end of their terms," the regulation says.

The work performance should include the learning of Deng Xiaoping theory, the thoughts of "Three Represents," and the concept of scientific development and CPC policies. It should also include the headway they've made in implementing important tasks and building clean leading groups. The evaluations also have to outline problems and corrective measures taken to correct them, the regulation says.

The evaluations should also solicit public opinion on the performance of the official's work group.

The organizers should hand in a summation of their work reports to higher committees, the regulation says.

All-level departments for discipline inspection and personnel must fortify the supervision and instruction of the reports of their junior leading groups by hearing the reports and organizing democratic evaluations, the regulation says.

They should admonish and even punish officials who fail to report important problems or fail to correct their wrongdoing, the regulation says.

The regulation is aimed at strengthening the administration and supervision of Party officials, says the regulation.
