font size

East China's Jiangsu Province reported a surge of investment in foreign countries in January this year with the approval of 23 projects, a 475 percent increase over the same period of last year.

Jiangsu investors contributed 31.65 million U.S. dollars to the projects, 844.7 percent more than that in January 2005, according to the provincial department in charge of foreign trade.

Asia remains the favorite area of Jiangsu investors as 15 projects are located in the region.

The 23 projects involve IT, textiles, metallurgy, motorcycle manufacturing and wholesale.
