South Korea's Samsung Group is building in China's Tianjin municipality its largest production and R&D base for mobile phones beyond its home country.
Samsung has become the biggest mobile phone manufacturer in China with its investment jumping from 29 million U.S. dollars to 197 million U.S. dollars since January in the north China port city.
According to Tianjin Commission of Commerce, in the first month of the year, foreign capital raised by Tianjin Samsung Telecom Technology Co., Ltd. rose from 10.80 million U.S. dollars to 59.4 million U.S. dollars.
