Nepal holds reception for Chinese medical teamNepal held welcome and farewell reception on Wednesday for a Chinese medical team newly arrived at Kathmandu and some Chinese medical teams which will leave Nepal for home soon. After B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital (BPKMCH) was built with the assistance of the Chinese government in the year 2000, the Chinese government has been sending a 16-member medical team to the hospital in every two years. The fourth batch of the team arrived here on Feb. 25 and the third batch of the team is leaving here on Friday after completing its tenure. "The Chinese medical teams have been working hard in BPKMCH to tackle dangerous cancer disease and fulfill scarcity of Nepalese specialist providing appreciable services," Mani Lama, Nepali state minister for health and population, said at the reception.
