He Yong, a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met in Beijing on Friday with a German delegation headed by Achim Post, director of the Department of International Policy of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of Germany.

He briefed the guests on China's political, economic and social development. Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.

The German delegation is in Beijing at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee for a four-day visit from March 1 to 4.
