International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Rodrigo De Rato will arrive here next week for a round table meeting with finance ministers from six African countries including Zambia.
Finance Ministry Public Relations Officer Chileshe Kandeta said here Sunday that De Rato will be accompanied by a 17-man delegation from the IMF in Washington.
He said countries to attend the meeting are Zambia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi and Mozambique.
Kandeta said parliamentary public accounts committees from Zambia and the other five countries will also attend the roundtable meeting to discuss the way forward on policies for growth and development for low income countries.
The challenges of scaling up aid to low income countries will also be a topic in their discussions.
