Germany's car sales fell two percent to 216,000 units in February compared to the same month last year due to a cold winter, the German Automobile Industry Association said on Monday.
However, the association said that car registrations in the first two months of the year increased four percent to 439,100 compared to the same period in 2005.
In February, Germany's auto makers delivered a total of 338,100 autos to foreign markets, which are still the major driving force behind the German industry. The exports increased 11 percent over the same period a year ago.
For the first two months of 2006, Germany exported 645,000 autos, or an increase of 10 percent from a year ago.
