China to live telecast delivery of top legislature's work report for first time

The delivery of a work report of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress ( NPC), China's top legislature, will be live telecast on China's Central Television (CCTV) for the first time on Thursday.

The report will be delivered by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the 10th NPC Standing Committee, at a plenary meeting of the lawmakers in the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing on Thursday morning. The meeting begins at 9 a.m..

China's leading news websites, including xinhuanet.com and people.com.cn, will also carry out real-time online reporting of the Thursday meeting.

The ongoing fourth annual full session of the Tenth NPC began on March 5 and is scheduled to conclude on March 14.
