font size

China was astonished at Tuesday's blasts in India, and strongly condemned the terrorist accident targeting innocent common people, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang at a press briefing on Thursday.

Three explosions ripped through the crowded Hindu holy city of Varanasi in North India's Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday evening, killing more than 20 people and injuring about 60.

Qin expressed sympathy for the victims and extended sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the injured people.
