Guangdong has taken measures to prevent bird flu outbreak, after the confirmation on March 5 of a 32-year-old man's death from bird flu. The measures include vaccinating all the poultry in the province, stopping slaughtering poultry in markets and strengthening early warning and forecast of bird flu.
