Int'l auto show to stage in SW municipality

The 2006 China Chongqing international auto industry exhibition will be held in May in Chongqing, in southwest China.

The exhibition, co-organized by the China auto industry association and Chongqing Municipal Government, will be staged at the Chongqing international convention center from May 20 to 24.

With a theme of "discovering auto vogue", the exhibition has already confirmed the participation of more than 40 auto manufacturers including Chang'an Ford, Shanghai General Motors and Dongfeng Nissan.

Some manufacturers said they would bring their latest models to the exhibition.

A trade fair on auto parts and auto accessories will be held simultaneously with the exhibition.
