Airbus selects Tsinghua talents for A350 designAirbus (Beijing) Engineering Center held a recruitment fair in Tsinghua University on March 14 for selecting students majoring in mechanical design for its A350. This is Airbus's third round recruitment fair in Chinese universities after the first of such fair was held in Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics and then in Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics. The engineering center will employ 150 Chinese engineers in 2006, the number will be increased to 200 by 2007. Formally inaugurated in July 2005, the engineering center is situated in Beijing Tianzhukonggang Industrial Park, it is adjacent to Airbus China's Beijing Office. China will perform 5 percent of designing and manufacturing work for the Airbus A350. According to reports, Airbus's A380, the world's largest commercial airliner, has flown for 1000 hours, its test flight will reach 2500 hours to make sure it is ready before first delivery.
